Year 5 children had their Step-Up day at Westfield, where they embraced the life of a secondary school student.  They participated in different curriculum-based activities, which gave them a taster of what school life might be like when they leave Primary School. 

In Science, the children were fascinated and intrigued when separating colours using a chromatography technique.  Watching the colours separate left them with lots of scientific questions!  They created their own colourful butterflies using the same method!  In the dance studio, children choreographed dances from Disco Inferno and in Art, they created beautiful animal masks!  In PE, the children enjoyed practising their badminton skills as well as playing competitive benchball matches.

Before eating their lunch in the dining hall, the children were greeted by Mr Dallimore, the Headteacher at Westfield, who came to say hello!
