In order to experience school like at a secondary school, Year 5 were invited to visit Preston for a step-up day. 

During a Science lesson, they were challenged to solve a mystery.  They used Bunsen burners to identify what colour the flame would turn depending on what metal was used.  They all managed to solve the crime and found that Malfoy poisoned Albus Dumbledore!!

In Geography, they discussed climate change and did lots of activities around the classroom using atlases and maps.

Before returning to school, they ate their lunch in the hub.  They were even treated to an icepole!

A warm but useful day.
