As part of their History topic on the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings, Year 5 enjoyed a day out at the Museum of Somerset in Taunton.  They took part in a workshop where they re-enacted a typical battle between the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings, made their own rune stones using clay and created a village, which they were then able to ambush with trebuchets.  After lunch they explored the artefacts in the museum whilst completing a historic treasure hunt!
