Our Vision

At Oaklands Primary School the Spanish curriculum is designed to give children the opportunity to verbally express their ideas and thoughts in Spanish as well as understand and respond to written texts. They will be taught a balance of spoken and written language for a range of familiar topics and will learn to communicate ideas, facts and feelings in a variety of ways. Spanish lessons will provide learning experiences that engage, enthuse and motivate all of our learners, through the use of songs and games, rhymes, poems, real life texts, role play and opportunities to create links with children at a school in Spain.

Learning Spanish will also enable children to foster a more international outlook and become more culturally aware of festivals and customs from Spanish speaking countries.
