Hello Peacocks!

Remember, try to read with your parents at least once a day, and practice those spellings and times tables too! You have all your logins for the websites we use, such as Purple Mash, Sum Dog and Times Tables Rockstars. I have set different work on Sum Dog and Times Tables Rockstars, and I have set you some "To do" work on Purple Mash

See below for a list of websites and online resources that you can access, as well as some files you can download to help with your work.

Home learning WB 13th July

Hello Peacocks,

This is it! The last week of the school year. The year has gone so quickly, and the last few months have been hard for everyone but I am very, very proud of you and what you have all achieved!

I imagine you have all seen my Zoom invite for Thursday - it will be a nice chance to have a quick catch up with you and your parents before the 6 week summer holiday, and to say goodbye to the students who are sadly leaving us! You might also want to say goodbye to Mrs Poynton who is sadly leaving us on Friday too. The class will be different in September as we will be welcoming 4 new students in to Peacocks 1 which is exciting :)

Have a really good last week!

Miss Cambridge-King

Home learning WB 6th July

Hello Peacocks,

Can you believe we are in July? Only this week and next, and that is the end of another school year! I have emailed your school reports out this afternoon, so speak with your parents and they';ll be very pleased to read about what fantastic work you have done between September and now.

Here are your home learning tasks for the week beginning 6th July. It seems like we have been learning like this for a long time, so well done for all your fantastic work, and keep it up :)

Remember, learning also means cooking, or accepting a change in routine. It can be learning a trick on a trampoline, or riding your bike without stabilisers. It might be choosing to read a book before bedtime, or helping fold the laundry. Learning comes in many, many forms, and I have seen some beautiful examples on Tapestry over the last few weeks.

Miss Cambridge-King :)

Picture of the Week

Have a look at the picture. See if you can answer some questions about it, or ask your parents questions. Use it to write a story, or to tell a story.

  • How does it make you feel?
  • What can you see in the picture?
  • What do you think about the colours?
  • Is it happy or sad? Why?
  • What do you think the people are doing?
  • Is it spring, summer, autumn or winter?
  • How do you think you would feel being there?

This is a very strange time for everyone, and children might struggle to find the words to express how they are feeling.
