Week 14- WB 13.7.20 - Fox Class Home Learning Timetable

Week 14 - Home Learning WB 13.7.20 - our final week!!

Hello Foxes! We have reached the end of our time together in Year 4. Your last week of home learning is below and then it's time for our summer break.  You have been an amazing class and I have loved teaching you all.  This wasn't the year we planned, but you have all been absolute superstars by working hard at home.

On Wednesday 15th July, I will be hosting a special virtual end of year assembly via Zoom. Please ask your grown ups for all the details.  During this assembly, I will get the chance to see all of you and you can finally see each other too. I will also be sharing some photo memories of our year together.  I do hope you can make it.  If you can't, I'll be sharing the Powerpoint on this page next week.

If I don't get to speak to you on Wednesday, please have an amazing summer and I can't wait to see you all in person in September.  Happy summer Foxes!!

Daily Spellings

I have set a special spelling challenge this week  Please practise a selection of these spellings daily and ask an adult to test you at the end of the week (see spelling resources below for a copy of the spellings).

See resources below.

There are additional materials and lessons on the Oakhill academy website (Government endorsed) that can be done as an optional extra to our school home learning.

Read for at least 20-30 minutes. When you have finished your book, you can now quiz on the Accelerated Reader website at home.  Please use the link below to do this.

If you don't have access to the internet, please ask an adult to question you on your book instead.

Maths will be a mixture of different worksheets and supporting videos.  Please see the weekly resources below for lesson material.

The government have also updated the BBC Bitesize website to link in with the lessons we are giving you. Please take a look on this site as there are some fantastic additional lessons on here from well known faces!

Topic - Science

This week we are continuing our science topic on living things and classification. Different tasks have been set to get you started so please have a good look and try your best. Please see the weekly resources below to find the lesson material.

Please see your topic plan for details, This week the Art/D.T activity is based on the special topic for this week.

Joe Wicks (The Body Coach) is continuing to do daily workouts for children every day at 9am.  Please use the link below to access this.  There are also other exercise ideas on your home learning timetable.

Mrs Wheatley has set you some more Spanish activities.  Please take a look at the timetable for details.

Special topic (Optional)

For the last few weeks, we have started to add in a 'special topic' section.  This section is optional but is always themed to something that is being celebrated around the world during the week/month we set it.  If you finish your other work and want something else to do, why not give it a go!
