18.12.20 - Dragonfly class were visited today by the NAUGHTY ELF! The elf caused a lot of mischief!!

Science 3.12.20 - We have been making observations when putting raisins into lemonade. We made predictions about what might happen - would the raisins float, sink, explode, evaporate or absorb. In the end we observed the raisins sink, then after a few seconds they floated to the top. We learned that this was because carbon dioxide bubbles get caught in the wrinkles of the raisins and make it float!!!

I am so proud of all of the children in Dragonfly class so far this week for their Home Learning efforts via zoom! You have all been amazing! We will not let Covid stop us from learning!!

Did you know the Barn Owl flies silently!

12.11.20 - We had some fabulous feathered visitors in to school today! We met baby owls, a barn owl, tawny owl, a great grey owl, a peregrine falcon and a buzzard. Next week in Literacy, we will be creating and designing our own unique birds so this has really helped to understand their traits.

6.11.20 - BOOM!!!! Today we enjoyed learning about Mount Vesuvius and how it erupted in AD79. We watched Zuzia's volcano erupt and saw how the lava would have poured over and destroyed the entire city of Pompeii!

3.11.20 - Wow!! The children have made some brilliant Volcanoes to complement our Geography topic! Thank you to all the people at home who helped out!

22.10.20 - In DT we have been designing making our own hand puppets. First, we researched them and then used our sewing skills to make them. Don't they look brilliant!

21.10.20 - Today Dragonflies went on their (pretend) school trip to Charmouth. They found (made) fossils and painted them to look like the real thing!!! We had a great day!
