Welcome to Bumblebees Class Page
Good morning Bumblebees! 🐝
Well done on completing your first week of home learning!
We hope you have enjoyed the sunshine and all the extra time you are having with your families.
Spring has definitely sprung! Have you spotted any signs of Spring when out walking or exercising? 🌷
So happy to see lots of the ‘2do tasks’ have been completed on Purple Mash.
We have set some further ones for you to do this week so keep it up!
Keep practicing your 2, 5 and 10 TimesTables on TT rockstars - all logins should be in the front of your reading records.
If you can’t find them, please email and we can get those to you.
Additionally, if you have any questions about the home tasks please email the office and we can answer any questions you may have.
We can’t wait to see all the wonderful work you have been doing and see your big buzzy bumblebee smiles!
Keep working hard, be kind and be helpful.
Mrs Copping, Mrs Fry and Mrs Legg 😊
If you have already read all of your school reading books take a look at Oxford Owl. They have lots of the same books we have in school available as FREE ebooks.
🐣EASTER HOME LEARNING🐣
There will be no home learning tasks set over the Easter Holidays - week commencing 6th and 13th April.
Please continue to read as much as you can and make use of some of the great websites posted below.
Maybe you could do some Easter baking or make some Easter cards - just make sure there is chocolate involved!
Additional Home Learning
Please find below some additional learning which you can do at home with your adults. There are fun links to some of the things we have been doing in school so you can practise. All logins have been recently stuck in the reading records, but please ask your adult to email the school office if you are unsure.
Times Table Rockstars
We started Times Table Rockstars today – have a go at practising your 2s, 5s and 10s! Can you beat your time and score? Remember the 2x table is your even numbers, 5x table will always end in 5 or 0 and the 10x table always end in 0.
Attached below are all the spellings you can learn and remind yourselves from the last few weeks. Have a go at writing them in a sentence or looking up the meaning/definition of words you are unsure of. Don’t forget to practise them by covering up the word and writing it down. Attached is also the tic-tac-toe that we use to choose different ways of practising your spellings; could you do them in all capital letters or in rainbow colours?
Don’t forget to keep practising reading and writing the important Miss Parr words (common exception words) as well as days of the week and months of the year. Can you write your numbers one to fifty in words?!
Reading and Handwriting
Reading should continue daily and please ask your adult to ask you comprehension questions about the book. Try re-telling the story to your family. See if you can spot any Miss Parr words or interesting vocabulary. Are there any plural words or nouns with the suffix ‘er’ and ‘est?’
There are example reading comprehension questions attached and some guided reading comprehension resources you can look at too.
Remember to continue practising your handwriting. Attached is a document that shows how we write all of our letters including capital letters. Practise using these in sentences and remember to use capital letters for the start of sentences and for names.
