Harvest Celebration 2017

It was wonderful to have Reverend Keen in to help us celebrate Harvest this year. We have been collecting food for the Lords Larder which will help people who are less fortunate than us in our local area. All donations were turned into a colourful display along with art work from the children in Butterfly class.

Year 3 children shared some fantastic Harvest performance poetry and KS 1 and KS 2 sang some lovely Harvest songs to celebrate. Reverend Keen shared some facts about what people around the world have to spend on their weekly food shop, the lowest being families in Chad who have 80p a week! We were all quite shocked by this fact and in our reflection moment we were thankful and thought about how fortunate we really are.

The Harvest display looked amazing so many thanks for all the donations which were gratefully received.
